We provide three measurements for each ski model.
True Center: This measurement will tell you where to find the center of the skis if you measured the ski flat, lengthwise. If you found true center on a 190 cm ski, you would have 95 cm of ski in front of that point and 95 cm os ski behind that point. We give this measurement as the direct pull distance from the tail. This is the 0 point on our skis. Our effective edge center and traditional mount points are given with respect to this point.
Effective Edge Center: Effective edge is the portion of your ski with side cut. It can also be thought of as the portion of the ski that bites into the snow when carving a turn. The middle of this portion is the effective edge center. This is the furthest point towards the tip that you would want to mount your skis. If the measurement is 0, the effective edge center and true center are at the same point. If you like to ride your skis at true center, make sure that the effective edge center for your particular ski is at 0. The measurement is negative because it is the distance towards the tail.
Traditional: This is the furthest point that you would want to mount your skis. The measurement is negative because it is the distance towards the tail.
